With the worsening effects of climate change the Earth will lose a significant amount of its biodiversity. This will result in catastrophic ecological changes and extinctions. Biodiversity is critical to the equilibrium of nature. There are already many species extinct by human influence.
Countless discoveries have been made in the wide array of unique adaptations found in different species. There is so much more to learn from the powers of evolution. As more species fade into extinction we may miss critical innovations found in the designs of nature.
