“Science is more than a body of knowledge. It’s a way of thinking. A way of skeptically interrogating the universe, with a fine understanding of human fallibility…the people have to be educated, and they have to practice their skepticism and education. Otherwise we don’t run the government, the government runs us.“ - Carl Sagan
The Homo Techno Series
Think of these posts as the backbone of this blog. The purpose of this series is to seek the most empirical answers about our existence and expanding civilization. It is a sort of “biophysical bible” derived from first principles thinking about life, the universe, and everything.

Why Should You Subscribe?
The general hope of this blog is to install a sense of information hygiene. The scientific method will tell you that information must be evaluated. Tools like double blind analysis, repeatability, and appropriate meta-analyses must confirm the confidence of information. Otherwise, the only thing we can go off of is faith. While faith has its time and place, we must understand that science is the candle in the darkness of our chaotic existence.
Economics can be considered the study of causal relationships. When we try to understand our world through data, we must consider whether our conclusions are statistically and economically significant. This helps us determine whether our results are due to chance or a real factor of interest. We must also consider greater contexts within business and society to reach practical conclusions.
Hopefully you can gain some Alpha from this blog. Earn, invest, ???, profit.
Definition: a term used in investing to describe an investment strategy's ability to beat the market, or its "edge." Alpha is thus also often referred to as “excess return” or the “abnormal rate of return” in relation to a benchmark, when adjusted for risk.
The benchmark being the S&P 500 average annualized rate of growth, which sits at ~10%. However, we are not here on this blog to simply tell you to invest in indices. Here you gain geopolitical socioeconomic psychocultural context and grounded investing advice distilled from the likes of Warren Buffett and Peter Lynch.
And Even More!
A lot more is covered on this blog from the newest tech to cultural trends. Guest authors will be featured in the upcoming years!
